Switcher is our production tool at an hourly rate. A single producer or a small team can create high-quality broadcasts from the cloud with ultra-responsive switching between multiple sources, locations, and devices so that multiple distribution channels, such as stations, social media platforms, websites, and mobile apps, can receive them simultaneously.

The switch
Add layers, audio streams, and transition effects to your scenes. An overview of the sources that you can add is available here. When you select one of the added sources or want to edit the scene, a preview will appear.

Adding a source: Click the empty box

Create a macro / scene: Edit a source: click the scene panel to access the scene and setup the macro with content

Panel for global layers: Click on the eye toggle to open the global layer panel add global layers and activate them. To hide global layers, click the eye icon in the panel's menu bar.

Add content, layers, audio streams, and transitions to the source to create your scene or macro.

The audio
Change the volume, mutes, or listen to individual audio streams added to the Switcher event.

The crew
Crew members and Talents who are on the production are listed here, and you can use individual talkback, master their audio, mute them, and check their connectivity diagnostics.

The commentators
The panel allows you to create multiple versions of the show with different commentators. Although these people aren't part of the production, they can provide commentary (audio only) on the event output and create different language tracks. This option is only available when multiple alternative versions of PIDS are set up in an SRT stream.

The settings
You can add & manage the Output streams where your Switcher events will be sent, map the Ad marker buttons and select which streams will be recorded and used for direct replay.
1. Select the output stream

Choose the output stream where the final product should be sent. (Note: These streams should be set up in the streams manager prior to the event.)

Hover over the channel to get more details and delete it
2. Map ad markers to the buttons

Select a custom Ad marker for each ad marker button in the switcher (you can find these between the preview and program view)
3. Select replay sources

Turn on the video stream(s) you want to use for replay
