What is the switcher?

Switcher is our production tool at an hourly rate. A single producer or a small team can create high-quality broadcasts from the cloud with ultra-responsive switching between multiple sources, locations, and devices so that multiple distribution channels, such as stations, social media platforms, websites, and mobile apps, can receive them simultaneously.

  • Multiple sources such as streams, web sources, clips, graphics, and guests from various devices are supported

  • Add layers to the sources, such as images or live graphics from Singular, Tagboard, and Dizplai.

  • Combine layers, audio streams, and layers to create macros 

  • With one click, switch between scenes in real-time and activate all mix effects

  • Streams, talkback, intercom, and crew audio can be mixed intuitively in the audio mixer

  • Create a collaborative environment by using chat, intercom, and talkback capabilities, designed for on-premises and remote teams

  1. Status of the switcher (Live - scheduled - Template)

  2. Details of the event: Event name and duration

  3. A multiviewer provides an overview of all input and output streams 

  4. Load indicators show the amount of load on the cloud mixer or server and on your local device

  5. Various options in the dropdown

    • Set your location, preview quality, video and audio quality

    • Choose your camera and microphone

    • Set the quality of Switcher events

    • Kiswe support center link

    • Leave the event. The event will continue to run until the end time and date.

 

Panels

  • Switch: Direct the show by putting scenes in preview and program
  • Scene: Prepare macro's of a source by adding content, layers, audio & set options
  • Keys: Add global layers to be added in the output with graphics, web sources or tweets
  • Audio: Master all the audio streams of the event
  • Crew: Manage all the crew's audio and use the individual talkback
  • Commentator: Create multiple language tracks with different commentators
  • Settings: Set up the outputs of the event and set options like the replay sources or automation

Before you can use the talkback and Intercom you need to connect to the event with a microphone. 

Press the start streaming button & select you headset.

  • Chat: everyone in the event can see these messages
  • Talkback: crew members only can hear this
  • Intercom: everyone (crew + guests) in the event can hear this
