Browser not supported
We only support Chrome browsers. If a users clicks the link with a different browser (s)he needs to download the Chrome browser first. Here you download the browser (https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/chrome/)
Device connection
In order to connect to the Fan room the guests need to
- Allow access to their streaming device (audio & video)
- Select the devices (microphone & camera) they are going to use
- Region they stream from. Should be closest to where they are to guarantee the quality & lower latency.
Access denied
When guests don't allow access to the devices they cannot stream their video or audio to the Fan room and cannot access the production. They can change the settings in the following way. On this page is the manual to allow access to the devices when earlier denied.
Connectivity test
Now we conduct an test to check the internet stability and the functioning of the webcam and microphone. When all goes well fans proceed to the next step.
Setup not working
When the fan indicates that one of the parameters of the selftest is not working they get an error message. From here they can go back to the device selection screen and select different devices or they can just continue the process (since they get moderated at the end by one of our moderators.)
Moderation
After the connectivity test the fan is put in the moderation queue and sees
- The position in the queue
- Practical tips to make the production a success
Once the moderator joins, they can talk and go over the quality and answer questions.
In case of language barriers, there is a chat that can be used (in combination with google translate).
Access denied
Reasons to deny access:
- Bad/Low internet quality
- Not functioning devices (camera / microphone)
- Inappropriate items in the screen (logos / flags / brands / ...)
- Inappropriate appearance (naked,...)
- ....
When the moderator denies access, the fan sees the following message.
Fan view
When the guest is allowed he is forwarded automatically to the correct room and will see:
- The other guests
- The stream of the station
From here he will hear the intercom of the director from the station room who will announce when his athlete will be next and he needs to prepare to go live.
When the room is ended this screen will appear.
